Individual guidance towards your goals
Engineering mentorship that boosts your skills, your confidence, and your career.
In my engineering mentorship program, I support you on your way to your next skill or career goal. Want to ace your next job interview? Successfully build your startup? Itching to learn high-demand skills? Work with me by your side to offer expert advice and guidance to match your zeal.
There are as many uses of a mentorship program as you can think of! Here are a few examples:
- Your mentor can help you identify and solve problems as well as provide practical, timely advice.
- A personal chat or video call with your mentor can be a safe space to think out loud, explore new ideas and do some innovative thinking.
- When you are pursuing a new skill, your mentor can prepare an overview of worthwhile content, and work with you to create a study plan.
- You can practice pair programming during which your mentor helps remove blockers and shares best practices on code quality, software design and tooling.

How does this engineering mentorship program work in practice?
A mentorship is a very individual thing. What it’ll look like for you very much depends on your needs, goals and preferences. But there is a specific framework that I apply every time I accompany someone’s growth journey.
First, we’ll work out where you are at the moment, and what your goals are for the longer term:
- Would you like to switch from a different industry to an IT career and acquire the necessary basic skills?
- Do you think it’s time you make the jump to a more senior position, but were told you’re lacking some specific skills?
- Are you interested in widening your horizon from pure software development to areas such as DevOps or SRE?
- Have you decided to learn a whole new skill set, for example a programming language or a web development framework?
I’m sure there are more reasons to get personal guidance than I can ever list here. Anyway, it’s up to you to determine the destination!
Next, it’s going to be my job to plot the course there, to come up with a learning path that we’ll take together in the upcoming weeks.
And then, we’ll simply start the journey, always making adjustments as needed. We’ll have regular exchanges via chat and email. And in our monthly 1:1 calls, we’ll discuss your progress and next steps. If you like, we can also use them for practical work (e.g. pair programming).
Over the course of our collaboration, we can repeat this process for as many goals as you come up with.
A mentorship is for you if…
- …you have a goal. Having clearly defined goals will help us both track your progress and make sure that you achieve what you’ve set out to do.
- …you’re prepared to put in the time and effort to make continuous progress. If, on the other hand, you don’t have the focus and the time required to do the work, you won’t see results, and I won’t be able to contribute in a way that’s meaningful (and thus worth your expense).
